If the month in which the subsidy begins is earlier than the month in which you submit your application, you will need to submit documents confirming that both the applicant (guardian) and the child have been continuously residing in Tokyo since the month in which the subsidy begins. How to mask documents *If any required documents contain information such as your My Number (personal number) or health insurance number, please mask them (make them invisible).
What is masking?
This is to process the data so that characters, etc. cannot be distinguished.
- For online applications: Cover the relevant part with a sticky note or similar before taking the photo, or take the photo and then paint over the relevant part with a paint program or similar.
- For paper applications: Please cover the relevant areas with a permanent marker or other indelible pen.
Document masking is required in the following cases:
- Copy of residence certificate: If you have obtained a document that includes your My Number, resident's certificate code, or registered domicile
- Identification documents: All those who do not use the dedicated app authentication and submit identification documents

If your My Number (individual number), resident registration code, or registered domicile is included, please mask it before attaching the document. A resident registration certificate without masking will be considered an incomplete document.

If you do not have a printer at home and have difficulty preparing application forms, there are services that allow you to print them at convenience stores. If you have a My Number card, there is also a service that allows you to print a copy of residence certificate. *A fee applies for use.
